Pre-Placement Training

In the six-week pre-placement training (Summer Institute), you are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge on teaching, education innovation, and career and leadership development.

  • Receive essential educator training powered by CUHK’s Faculty of Education on all fundamentals of teaching, including lesson planning, classroom management, assignment and worksheet design, etc.

    Rest assured that you will be prepared for teaching, ready to create student and school impacts by the end of our Summer Institute.

  • Get 2-week hands-on teaching experience before school starts

  • Gain exposure from leaders across different sectors, from education to banking to entrepreneurship; and learn how to leverage on various industries to make changes.

Ongoing Professional & Career Development

Collaborate with corporates and community organizations, or initiate independently, to create unique extracurricular activities that help students actualize potential.

  • Attend workshops and events as part of your leadership and pedagogical development every Friday.

    Through PD Fridays, you will:

    • Improve teaching skills (e.g. classroom management, lesson planning, etc.)

    • Gain exposure to education system (e.g. education policy, alternative education)

    • Hone skills for leadership and career building (e.g. personal branding, interview skills)

    This is also an opportunity for you to learn from and bond with other Fellows on the same leadership journey.

  • We invite leaders from various sectors to share their industry insights and visit corporate headquarters to interact with industry experts.

  • Accelerate your career development and personal growth through advice, insights, and network generously brought in by the mentors.

    The groups also are the venues where mentees with similar career aspirations foster one another’s learning.
