Consolidate your thoughts - Why Fellowship?

💭 Think about:

  • What do I want to achieve in the one-year Fellowship journey?

  • How does Fellowship stand out to me compared to other career opportunities? What are the unique values that Fellowship can provide for my future development?

Understand the context of Fellowship

💭 Think about:

  • What kind of students will I be serving?

  • What are the pressing needs and challenges they face?

dive deeper into the education topics/issues that interest you

💭 Think about:

  • What did you observe/already know about the topics/issues?


⚠️ Don’t stop at what you have already known. Be curious to find out the underlying factors/causes.

Open yourself up to other stakeholders’ perspectives - If you only think from students’ perspectives, what about the school, which involves teachers and school management, family, community, and even the wider society?

Define your impact

💭 Think about:

  • How do you want to contribute to education equity during Fellowship with a role that is different from the regular teacher?

  • Are there any ways to utilize your background and expertise?

  • How do you collaborate with different stakeholders inside and outside of the school to make things happen?
