Teach Subject Classes

Design and conduct classes, explore various innovative teaching pedagogies based on the students’ needs.

  • You will have a lower teaching load compared to regular teachers, teaching around 10-15 classes per week. You can spend the freed-up time preparing for lessons, designing extracurriculars and etc.

  • You will be placed in a high-need local primary or secondary school that serves underprivileged students, students with Special Education Needs (SEN), Newly Arrived Students, and Non-Chinese Speaking Students.

Our partner schools are spread across Hong Kong Island, New Territories, and Kowloon.

  • You will teach in subject areas directly related to your previous studies.

Yet, you may be assigned to teach your most preferred subject, due to actual school needs. As a Fellow, you will have access to support networks in your school and Fellowship peers, and from your Leadership Development Officer.

Provide Life & Career Guidance Through Extracurriculars

Collaborate with corporates and community organizations, or initiate independently, to create unique extracurricular activities that help students actualize potential.

  • Our full-time, full-year program allows you to connect with students and understand their most pressing needs.

With the genuine understanding of students’ needs, our Fellows have organized activities including but not limited to Character Building, Creativity & Arts, Social Emotional Learning, Career Education, and Global Vision.

  • You will receive coaching from your Leadership Development Officer (LDO), support from the school and full access to our network and resources.

Your LDO will give you timely feedback and suggestions on potential ECA opportunities.

You will also be assigned a school mentor, who will keep you updated on the school contexts.

You are also free to tap into our vast network (corporate partners such as UBS, Grosvenor Group, Ernst & Young) for resources for your ideas.

Initiate new ideas and projects

Pilot solutions for existing challenges and lead school-wide changes. Spend the year creating sustainable changes.

  • You are backed by the Fellowship cohort and TFHK cross-sector network to ideate, manage and even scale your impact ideas.

You can gain professional advice and insights through our mentors from different sectors, such as Mr. Peter Poon - Chief Program Officer of The D.H. Chen Foundation, Mr. Warren Luk - CEO of Good Lab and many more.

Through regular check-ins and coaching conversations with your Leadership Development Officers, you achieve clarity with your purpose and action plans.
