Not everyone is lucky enough to have a choice
Kaye (Fellow 19-20 | Graduate of Sociology, McMaster University)
Kaye studied at a local school at a young age. She seldom raised her voice in class to avoid making mistakes, and thus, she lost her enthusiasm for learning. Later, she admitted to high school in Canada, where teachers tend to encourage students to express their ideas rather than only point out their mistakes. Mental issues arising from academic results primarily affect personal development, but who is there for those less competent?
Not everyone is lucky enough to be freed from the education system in Hong Kong, and we cannot blame failure solely on the ability of the student. What distinguishes this generation from others is the passion for serving and for bringing changes. Kaye reckons she is the lucky one and it is her responsibility to contribute to Hong Kong.

Our Vision and Mission
For many economically disadvantaged children, poverty is destiny: our education system limits their exposure, resources, support and opportunity access.
While there is no single solution to education inequity, it starts with a community of leaders.
We find the most promising young leaders to teach in grassroots schools in our year-long Fellowship Program. This transformative classroom experience, coupled with our developmental support, empowers these future leaders to create long-lasting changes for education equity across sectors.
We envision a future where all children in Hong Kong have equal opportunities to learn, grow and actualize their potential.
