Fellowship In A Nutshell
Teaching in School
Create Life-Changing Student Impacts Everyday
You directly impact students in ways more than just teaching. A normal working day is split between:
Teach classes, where you are free to design and conduct classes to enhance students’ critical skills
Lead extracurriculars to help students pursue interests and expose to possibilities
Create your own Student-Change Projects to actualise students’ potential, create solutions for existing challenges and lead school-wide changes
Become a Life Mentor to build intimate relationships with students, so as to understand their interests and struggles for better support provision
Impact in school
Lead long-lasting impact beyond the classroom to realize your education vision
Our Fellows make use of their autonomy at school to impact students in ways that regular teachers may not be able to and can sustain even after you leave the Fellowship.
Student Change Projects empower Fellows to spend the year creating sustainable changes, from revamping curriculum, to creating processes and infrastructures.
Reinventing a Hands-on & Relevant STEM Curriculum
Fei (Fellow 16-17) utilised his experience as a hardware engineer to revamp F.3’s STEM curriculum. His students became eager to invent their own electronic products, join competitions and study STEM in universities.
Making Students Move Again in Classrooms
Natalie (Fellow 18-20) piloted the concept of Kinesthetic Classroom in Hong Kong, revolutionizing the typical sit-and-stare classroom convention into an accommodating environment for students with hyperactive tendencies.
Gamifying English Grammar Classes
Aman (Fellow 19-20) leveraged his computer science major to create a character-based English learning game. His game is exceptionally popular among his students and makes grammar no longer an overwhelming and boring topic.
Exposing students to Purposeful School Lives
Mavis & Ernest (Fellows 16-17) organized the first ‘English Rockers’ program, now in its fourth year, to encourage students to have more confidence in conversing in English through regular meeting with foreign investment bankers.
