A year of understanding
In this year’s Fellowship, you walk alongside underprivileged students, put yourself in their shoes, and broaden their horizons. You grow into a better changemaker by learning from people with different backgrounds and in different stages of life.
From day-to-day classroom teaching and enrichment activities, you obtain insights on the actual educational needs of individual underprivileged students. You are thus most ready to directly influence their development and empower their life and career pursuits.
This year of teaching experience is a “leadership gym”.
By teaching, you polish your leadership skills like empathy, agility, influencing skills and many more. You are a leader to every single student of yours. With us, you overcome the barriers to most effectively exercise your leadership and uplift students. Each Fellow will be assigned with a dedicated Leadership Development Officer (LDO) throughout the Fellowship. An LDO provides guidance and keeps track of your learning and progress in school, supporting you to maximize impact on your students. Our 100+ Alumni community, who understand your challenges faced in the Fellowship, are also available to help you adapt to and make changes in a school environment.
